Construction is now well underway on this exciting project. To date:
· the building is weather tight
· plastering work has been completed
· under floor heating has been installed
· internal joinery work is well underway
· electrical works are well underway
· Boundary walls & fences are complete
· mains power is being connected
· Lifts have been installed
· Decoration has commenced
The Public Involvement Group and Staff Groups have completed the final design details such as reception counters and colour schemes and have been agreeing what internal and external signage is required. They are now working on the detail of the multitude of operational policies which are required for this building ranging from security, waste disposal and car park management. There are no plans to charge for car parking. This work will continue over the coming months leading up to the new building being completed.
At present construction is ahead of schedule and we are currently working of services moving in at the end of March 2010 instead of May. Once this has been confirmed we will provide information showing which service is moving when.
